Removing Transaction Claim Entries or Cancelling Transactions

This article outlines the process of removing claim entries from a transactions and cancelling entire transactions in MediatR. Some transaction types are not immediately submitted to Medicare. For example, both Inpatient Medical Claims and Outpatient Medical Claims undergo some additional validation and are not submitted until sometime after 10PM on the day of submission. This delay allows for corrections to be made to any issue(s) you may identify in your practice management software. This delay also provides MediatR with the opportunity to perform some automated validations and verifications to the data. This additional processing and validation that MediatR will do prior to submission, can identify problems with the claim that would prevent the successful processing of the claim by Medicare and/or private health insurer. One such error which may identify is if a patient's details fail verification by Medicare and/or the private health insurer. In such circumstances MediatR will prevent transmission of the entire transaction by marking the transaction with an Error Status. Until such time that the offending claim entries are removed the transaction will not be submitted. At any point prior to submission, Claim Entries can be removed or entire transactions can be cancelled.
