Patient Claim Sub-Type Transactions
PCI - Patient Claim Interactive
Patient Claims are Medicare Claims lodged on behalf of your patients at the point of service by patients who have received professional medical services but have not assigned their rights to Medicare benefits to the Servicing Practitioner. Patient Claim interactive allows real-time processing and assessment and reduces the need for your patients to get additional information from you to get their Medicare benefit or to submit a claim with Medicare themselves.
SDD - Same Day Delete
Same Day Delete transactions relate directly to Patient Claims Interactive transactions and enable the cancellation of previously submitted PCI transactions
- A Medicare PCI transaction can only be deleted before 5pm AEST the same day it was submitted. OR;
- If a claim was submitted after 5pm AEST, you have until 5pm AEST the following day to cancel the claim.
PV - Patient Verification Transaction
Patient Verification Sub-Type Transactions
- OPV - Online Patient Verification, will in a single transaction verify the patients details against those stored Medicare and/or a private health insurer.
- PVM - Patient Verification Medicare Transaction, will in verify the patients details against those stored by Medicare only.
- PVF - Patient Verification Fund Transaction, will in verify the patients details against those stored by a private health insurer only.
- PVV - Patient Verification Veteran Transaction, will in verify the patients details against those stored by the Department of Veteran Affairs
- Concession - Patient Verification Concession Transaction, will verify the patients details against those stored by Medicare and will confirm whether the patients current eligibility for concession status.
